Puducherry, Feb 6 : The Federation for People’s Rights here today urged the Centre not to permit Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakshe in India.
In a statement here, Federation Secretary G Sugumaran alleged that Rajapakshe had ‘massacared’ lakhs of Tamils during the war with the LTTE and now denied politcal autonomy to the Tamils in Sri Lanka. In this background a visit of Mr Rajapakshe to Tirupathi via Tamil Nadu would clearly prove that the Centre was supporting the ‘anti-Tamils’ attitude of the Sri Lankan Government, Mr Sugumaran said.
