To spread message of communal harmony and unity, a human chain will be formed on January 9. This is done by human rights organisations and political parties.
Activists from CPI (ML), Federation for Peoples Rights and BSP will form a human chain at 10 am next Thursday at Anna Salai. The activists also condemned the damaging of statues of Ramasamy Padayatchi and Ambedkar and voiced that these were the activities of anti-socials who are trying to divide the people who are living in harmony.
Even the Federation for People’s Rights condemned the defacement of statue at two such places. The Federation’s Secretary G Sugumaran said that stringent action should be taken against people who create such tension. He also said that immediate steps should be taken to book the culprits who did it.
