Puducherry, Aug 21 (PTI) Puducherry unit of Federation of People’s Rights today adopted a resolution appealing to the Central government to commute as life term the death penalty awarded to Murugan, Perarivalan and Santhan, facing death row in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
G Sugumaran, Secretary of the Federation, said in a release here that a meeting of various human rights activists held here also wanted the death sentence awarded to Afzal Guru in Parliament attack case to be reduced to life imprisonment.
