News: Federation seeks enquiry into alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka

Puducherry, May 18 :The Puducherry-based federation for people’s rights has urged for an inquiry into the alleged ‘war crimes’ occurred in Sri Lanka.

In a release here today, Federation Secretary G Sugumaran pointed out the human rights violation during the war between LTTE an Sri Lankan and demanded that the body of those dead in the war be traced and handed over to their relatives to perform the last rites.

Demanding adequate compensation to those affected, he stressed that ‘war crime’ be charged against Sri Lanakan President Rajabakshe and be subject to a trial.
