Puducherry, Nov 19 : The Federation for People’s Rights here today urged the territorial administration to drop the move to hand over the government medical college
to ESI Corporation and to take immediate steps to commence the first year classes in the next academic year.
In a statement here, Federation Secretary G Sugumaran pointed out that if the medical college was handed over to the ESI, the reservation enjoyed by BC and MBC in the Union Territory would not be available in the medical college.
