Puducherry, Mar 23 : Assistant film directors, supporting the cause for Lankan Tamils, today observed a fast near the Swadeshi Cotton mills here to condemn the arrest of film Director Seeman, MDMK propaganda secretary Nanjil Sampath and Kolathur Mani under the National Security Act (NSA).
They came in two buses from Chennai and began the stir.
The fast, arranged by the Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam, was also to press for immediate release of the arrested and ensure ceasefire in Sri Lanka.
Secretary of the Federation for People’s Rights G Sugumaran inaugurated the fast.
Director Bhoopathy Pandiyan and Convener of the Thanthai Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam Thanthai Priyan greeted the assistant directors.
